The Gang's All Here

We 4 Sibs, Ruth, Chere, Mac & Jack Thrasher at our home place in Knapps Meadow, now owned by brother Mac. The occasion was Mac's BBQ for Ruth. Taken in front of the chicken coop.

Our Home Place

The Knapps Meadow home where we were raised. Dad built the little building in front for our mother whose dream it was to have a convenience store there but Mom died before she had a chance to open it.

The Thrasher Reunion July 6, 2008

What a fabulous Thrasher Family reunion we had yesterday at Dan's Mountain State Park in Lonaconing, MD. In spite of a threatening weather forecast, we enjoyed a fun day with cousins, aunts and uncles and their spouses. It seemed we had a record number in attendance this year including my soon to be daughter-in-love, Tina, and her fabulous sons Austin and Alex.
Pictured is Julie Chesno with step son Matt Athey, son Dan and his soon to be bride Tina Gray, Austin and Alex.
Lastly, pictured is Mary Margaret (Mimi) Thrasher Brant. We are 1st cousins. She told me yesterday that "O' Dad", our paternal grandfather, named her.
I am going from memory (and a bit of guessing) on labeling the below photos so if you can help me with corrections or labeling, please do.

Thrasher Reunion

Shelle Brant (1st cousin, a generation younger), & Aunt Mable (age 86), cousin Bonnie (in stripes), and other relatives gathered under the pavilion for eating, meeting & greeting and sharing old photos and our family tree.
